Watch the video to find out!

Video length: 7 mins

No limits! Everyone Plays a Role.

There are many ways to contribute to the conservation of ‘Io. Whether you’re out in the field, conducting research, providing care of injured birds to return to wild, promoting appreciation of ‘Io by sharing cool hawk facts with your friends and family, incorporating ‘Io into your artwork or graphic designs, and taking other actions to protect and promote ‘Io, you’re a valued member of the ‘Io conservation community.

We treat sick and injured ‘Io to return back to their natural habitats. Not only does this contribute to the health of the bird, but it helps maintain the health of the population. – Dr. Juan G. (Hawai‘i Wildlife Center)

I ask people to use wildlife-safe rodenticides whenever possible. Also, when I see a cool ‘Io photo or a local artist including ‘Io artwork in their products for sale, I share with my my friends and coworkers! – Rae O.
