Special Pre-Festival Hakalau Forest NWR Bird Tour with Jack Jeffrey and Rob Pacheco
Join two rare birds, Rob and Jack for a fun, stimulating and educational day in Hawaii’s best remaining native forest bird habitat. Jack Jeffrey was the original field biologist for many years at Hakalau Forest NWR and is Hawaii’s premier bird photographer. Recipient of the Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography, Jack has been an inspiration to generations of island conservationists. Naturalist Rob Pacheco is the founder of Hawaii Forest & Trail, Hawaii’s premier nature tour company. Rob has spent 30 years interpreting nature and sharing the wonders of Hawaii nei with guests from all walks of life. This is a rare oportunity to spend the day with two of Hawaii’s best field naturalists.

Meals Provided: Breakfast, Boxed Lunch & Beverages
Restrictions: Participants must be able to hike up to 2.5 miles over uneven or rocky terrain. We may encounter cool, wet or muddy conditions. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
