She is the founder of the Kaua’i Albatross Network and a Safina Center Fellow. Her book Holy Mōlī: Albatross and Other Ancestors (Oregon State University Press\, 2016) is now in its fourth printing.  As the producer of the award-winning film “Kalamaʻs Journey\,” Hob is devoted to sharing stories about the magnificent Mōlī (Laysan albatross) of Kauaʻi. Before morphing into a citizen scientist\, Hob was a nurse practitioner at The Queenʻs Medical Center in Honolulu.
